Greetings! My name is Liz and I raise/breed axolotls here in Georgia. My goal is to provide you with quality, happy, and healthy axolotls, as well as informative information on proper care and guidance for your new pet. I purchase quality eggs from other reputable breeders as well as selectively breed personal axolotls based on genetics and lineage. With this being said, all axolotls (except rescues and axolotls labeled as ‘PET ONLY’) sold by MY LOTL PETS will have known lineage and “hets” (heterozygous traits). Axolotls in my breeder program are housed in adequate tanks with like-gendered tank mates. As to ensure quality of life and reproduction, breeders are bred no more than twice a year. All MY LOTL PETS axolotls are shipped with care to ensure quality and safety, and although to this day I have never had a DOA ( dead on arrival), I do advise you to look over our DOA policy in the event that this is to occur. If for some reason we do not meet your expectations, please reach out to me so that I can take the appropriate measures to resolve this issue.
My Lotl Pets was formerly founded after my new found love for axolotls as a breed. Upon stumbling across a friend’s (axolotl breeder in Ga) post on rehoming axolotls, I fell in love with these unique creatures and knew I had to get my hands one or two. I did all of my research and preparation before bringing my bundles of joy home. Soon thereafter, I became obsessed with owning, getting to know them and ensuring that I provide proper love and care. Flash forward to today, I have decided to take my journey one step further and get into genetics/ breeding of axolotls. Although my breeding business is newer, I am confident that I can provide quality axolotls and knowledge to prospective axolotl owners. I have experience and knowledge in raising and rescuing axolotls from as small as new hatchlings to full grown axolotls. Needless to say, I pride myself with how happy and healthy axolotls have thrived within my care. With that being said, axolotls have a special place in my heart and upon rehoming my Lotl Pets, I strive to pass on my knowledge and tips to ensure they are well taken care of. In addition to this , I will rescue all axolotls rehomed through My Lotl Pets as well as most other axolotls in need ( given that I have the available resources) with my ANONYMOUS policy; I promise to keep personal information of all prospective rescues confidential. This policy was established in my business in hopes that all axolotls are given proper care, as well as given a fruitful life. Once rescued, my goal is to nurse all rescued axolotls to health and rehome to appropriate personnel with correct knowledge and tools to ensure they continue to thrive. In the same token, I am aware that there are not many straightforward forums or guides to owning and caring for axolotls.
